Harder Than I Thought

Superman and I have been on a "diet". I use the term loosely for me. He has done great and has lost (guessing, cause he didn't weight before starting) at least 15 lbs. I on the other hand have lost 7. He has done great in cutting out sugar and carbs. I don't really eat that many carbs, so I don't have to sacrifice there. Didn't think that I ate too much sugar, but find that I want to eat things that I am not eating now. So....I cheat (way more than him). I was not feeling well Monday-Wednesday. I felt sick to my stomach. I don't know if it is because I was not eating the way I normally eat, or if I caught something, or ate something bad. I do know that nothing appealed to me at all. We have been doing this for three weeks. Superman has lowered his blood sugar drastically and he is going to go to the doctor to see if he can cut out some medications. He needs to get his cholesterol and triglycerides checked. We added a new element to the formula. We now have a stationary bicycle and have began to work out each day. I usually do mine in the morning. Riding the bike is hard enough, but when I added in the toning and stretching exercises, I realized just how out of shape I am. I really need to put more effort into it and then I'm sure to find more energy and stamina. Hopefully, I will be a thinner me by the time vacation starts in September.

I finally got the Reindeer Games quilt top put together. I ordered the backing yesterday and hope to get it Saturday. Then I can get it loaded into the quilt frame and FINISHED. I have many pieces of Christmas fabric still out. I need to start the Santa Wall Hangings that I am going to give several people for Christmas. I will start cutting that out tonight. In the mornings I have lots of energy (I am a morning person), but by the time I get home from work, it is quite diminished. Superman is going to Waco to see our son and go to college orientation on Monday. He will be paying the tuition bill. And, surprise, surprise, Superman registered for college last night. He has decided to take some courses at the local Jr. College. I think it will be good for him. Anyway, while he is away, I should be able to get lots of sewing done. He made me promise to take time to clean house though. Not on my list, but it will get done.
