Weekend!

Once again it is the weekend.  But, this weekend I don't have a customer quilt to do.  So that means I get to work on other stuff...like clean house (which needs it desperately).  I am going to MIL's in a couple of weeks for a garage sale.  I need to finish cleaning out a few closets and get things gathered up and priced to take to Waco.  Next weekend will be the Quilt Show in Houston.  I also can do some fall decorating this weekend.  Fall is my favorite time of year, and I haven't put anything out yet.  It is almost winter.  It is in the 30's here this morning.  The new heater will be on today.  I have already had to turn it down and it is sweating me out of the room.  I think it will be different when I am over at the sewing machine.  Here is the last quilt I finished.  It is almost a king size.

I don't think the quilting shows up to well.   It has lots of feathers.  Husband and I both liked it and thought it would be a good all the time bed quilt.  Nice pattern for that.  Colors are not necessary ours, but could change that.  Well off to start working on house.  That way I can spend some time today appliqueing on my quilt.  Think I will just do my machine so it gets done.  Have a good day!

Fair Quilts

Here are just a small portion of quilts at the county fair. I did the best I could with the camera.  It is acting up.  I also am trying to learn how to set it for the best pics.  Some are blurry.  There were more gorgeous quilts, but I got busy talking to people and didn't get pics...then it was too late to.   This is heavily stitched and is just amazing.  Made by Sue Britt.
Mary Massey made this one.  It is very simple, but I love it.

This one says, "I love my dog". Made by Gretchen Phelps.

Everyone stopped to stare at this one.  The colors are great and so was the quilting.  Sue Johnson has a wonderful quilter.
Like I said, there were many more, but I didn't get photos.

WHOO

I am a member of the local quiting group and we drew names (like secret pals) and we were to make a gift for our pal. The theme was "Fall" and my pal did not decorate for Halloween, so I designed a table topper/runner for her. She likes brights and is very creative, so I made this:

Movin' On

I finished my customers quilt. Will call her today to set up a delivery time. I had ordered fabric for the back of the donation quilt my group Piecemakers are making. I received an email that the fabric should be delivered Friday. I was going to call a friend and tell her I could take her quilt, but now I will have to wait. I have three more quilts to get quilted within three weeks. Two of them will be custom and one probably a pantograph. I don't have much time to always get online to post between working and quilting. I usually get online in the early morning, that is if the computer is working. It has been done for a few days and I don't have time at work to check on emails and read a blog or two. I am moving thru the quilts the best I can. One day I want to spend some time, probably in month to read and learn more about how to enhance my blog and get more on it. Since I won't have my fabric in until tomorrow, I will have time tonight to start on OC. I haven't pulled my four fabrics yet, so it is truly going to be scrappy. Can hardly wait to get to sew and work on MY project tonight!
